Class 7A - Jr. Does: under 3 months

Entry #4 ~ Points Earned = 4.0
Southern Drawl Farms Ayasha ~ Owned by Solis Occasus Villa (Virginia) ~ DOB: 03-03-17 ~ DOLP: 04-12-17
Judge's comments: This doeling is my top pick today out of a very nice line up of kids. She is already showing a lot of width for her age and size. She is nicely muscled, smoothly blended and standing square on her feet. She presents a nice top line and correct slope of rump and tail placement.

Entry #2 ~ Points Earned = 3.5
Circle H Fainting Farm Omega ~ Owned by Circle H Fainting Farm (Elizabethton, TN) ~ DOB: 03-20-17 ~ DOLP: 05-04-17
Judge's comments: My second place doeling caught my eye right away with the excellent top line, slope of rump, length of body and her head/neck attachment to her shoulders. She lacks the width we see in our 1st place goat today placing her 2nd.

Entry #6 ~ Points Earned = 3.0
Bucking Adoeable Echo ~ Owned by Bucking Adoeable Fainters (Ramona, CA) ~ DOB: 02-10-16 ~ DOLP: 03-15-16
Judge's comments: This goat is my 3rd place pick standing above the doelings behind her for being more heavily muscled and smoothly blended for her age. She has a nice head attachment and is very similar to our 1st & 2nd place goats in this class. I place her just behind the 2nd place goat because the 2nd place goat is standing more parallel and straight on her front legs.

Entry #8
Hush Hill Fainters Lil' Red Riding Hood ~ Hush Hill Fainters (White Salmon, WA) ~ DOB: 04-09-17 ~ DOLP: 05-02-17
Judge's comments: My 4th place goat may not be the largest in the class, but for her age/size she is showing more balance. She stands very wide in the front, and straight on her legs. I would like to add more width in the in the back in order to place her higher in the class.

Entry #7
Bucking Adoeable Moonshines Valentine ~ Owned by Bucking Adoeable Fainters (Ramona, CA) ~ DOB: 02-14-17 ~ DOLP: 04-04-17
Judge's comments: My 5th place doeling stands above the goats behind her because she is wider and more muscled. She is a very nice doeling but feels in motion her top line is not as level and dropping in the front, and her slope of rump is more steep in comparison to the kids in front of her.

Entry #3
Solis Ocasus Villa Split Decision ~ Owned by Solis Occasus Villa (Virginia) ~ DOB: 03-21-17 ~ DOLP: 05-08-17
Judge's comments: My sixth place goat needs to be commended for her length of body! She is the longest bodied doeling in the class which is very important for to provide adequate room when carrying babies. She is lacking width and muscle to place higher today.

Entry #5
Circle H Fainting Farm Temulen ~ Owned by Circle H Fainting Farm (Elizabethton, TN) ~ DOB: 04-13-17 ~ DOLP: 05-09-17
Judge's comments: This little doeling is the youngest of the class and is just lacking the maturity to move forward. She has a nice top line and slope of rump. She stands very square and front legs are nice and straight. However she lacks muscle and width to move her ahead.

Entry #1
Hanna's Mocha Kiss ~ Hanna's Upside Down Goats (Iowa) ~ DOB: 03-18-17 ~ DOLP: 05-06-17
Judge's comments: Our 8th place doeling is a nice doeling, but had some great competition in her class. She stands very straight on her back legs. However she may be in her awkward growth stage and not as level on the top line standing low at the withers. She isn’t as smoothly blended through the wither down the front shoulder and legs. She should be commended for the nice myotonic head and ear set.

Class 7B - Jr. Does: under 3 months

Entry #1 ~ Points Earned = 4.5
Bassefield Scarlett ~ Owned by Solis Occasus Villa (Virginia) ~ DOB: 02-28-17 ~ DOLP: 05-08-17
Judge's comments: This doeling is my 1st place doeling in this class. She is the most balanced goat in her class. She is nicely muscled, smoothly blended, has a nice length of body and standing square on her feet. She presents a nice top line and correct slope of rump and tail placement and possesses the myotonic head and expression.

Entry #4 ~ Points Earned = 4.0
Solis Occasus Villa Kokopelli ~ Owned by Solis Occasus Villa (Virginia) ~ DOB: 03-04-17 ~ DOLP: 05-09-17
Judge's comments: My 2nd place doeling is very similar to the 1st place doeling possessing a lot of the same great qualities but not quite as long or wide.

Entry #9 ~ Points Earned = 3.5
Rising S Sweet Rain ~ Owned by Rising S Ranch (Ogden, UT) ~ DOB: 03-08-17 ~ DOLP: 05-18-17
Judge's comments: I am placing this doeling 3rd above the goats behind her for offering more muscle and overall width of body, she stands wide on her legs to carry that long wide body.

Entry #3
Bangos Funny Farm Julianna ~ Owned by Robert & Miranda Bango (Dekalb Jct, NY) ~ DOB: 03-07-17 ~ DOLP: 05-09-17
Judge's comments: Although my 4th place doeling may not be as large as the doelings standing behind her, she is standing wider. She is nicely muscled with a nice top line and slope of rump. Her legs are straight with a thicker bone. She is lacking length of body to mover her forward in the class.

Entry #2
Bassefield Prissy ~ Owned by Solis Occasus Villa (Virginia) ~ DOB: 03-05-17 ~ DOLP: 05-08-17
Judge's comments: My 5th place needs to be commended for the nice top line and slope of rump. Although she has a longer body than the goat before her, she lacks the width and muscling but still a nice doeling.

Entry #7
MCF Belle Starr ~ Magnolia Creek Farm (TN) ~ DOB: 03-10-17 ~ DOLP: 05-19-17
Judge's comments: When I first saw my 6th place goat I thought her front end is well put together, had a nice thick neck and head placement. She does have a nice top line and correct slope of rump carrying nice muscle throughout. However, I would really like to stretch her body out to give her that length of body to make her more balanced. In comparison to the goats ahead of her, she does have the shortest body which is needed to carry babies.

Entry #5
Donnell Farm Fainters doeling ~ Donnell Farm Fainters (Elmore, Ohio) ~ DOB: 03-12-17 ~ DOLP: 05-16-17
Judge's comments: My 7th place goat is longer in body over my 6th place goat. However she falls short to the levelness of top line the goat ahead of her has.

Entry #6
L&O Farms Shadow ~ Owned by L&O Farms (Liberty, PA) ~ DOB: 03-16-17 ~ DOLP: 05-18-17
Judge's comments: My 8th place goat and 7th place goat I went back and forth on, as they both have give and take. My 8th place goat has a more level top line, but falls short to the goat ahead of her in muscling and length of body.

Entry #8
Diamond C Flare ~ Owned by Rising S Ranch (Ogden, UT) ~ DOB: 03-11-17 ~ DOLP: 05-18-17
Judge's comments: This flashy little doeling is placed at the bottom of the class because she doesn’t have the muscle or width in comparison to the goats above her in the class. She is also not as balanced or as heavily boned. However ever she is standing on nice straight legs in the back.

Class 7C - Jr. Does: under 3 months

Entry #8 ~ Points Earned = 4.5
Rising S Heartland ~ Owned by Rising S Ranch (Ogden, UT) ~ DOB: 12-24-16 ~ DOLP: 03-17-17
Judge's comments: My 1st place goat in this class definitely sets the bar high with her heavy muscle she is carrying over thick wide body. She is standing very wide, straight and square on her legs. She is smoothly blended and has a nice length of body level topline and slope of rump. She has a very alert expression along with a nice feminine myotonic head. Impressive at only 3 month of age!

Entry #3 ~ Points Earned = 4.0
Back 40 Molala ~ Owned by Solis Occasus Villa (Virginia) ~ DOB: 01-21-17 ~ DOLP: 04-28-17

Entry #7 ~ Points Earned = 3.5
Diamond C Aqua ~ Owned by Rising S Ranch (Ogden, UT) ~ DOB: 03-04-17 ~ DOLP: 05-18-17
Judge's comments: The 3rd place goat has a longer body, straighter top line and more correct slope of rump and hind leg angulation than the goats following behind her in the class. However, she doesn’t have they heavy bone or muscle the goat above her has.

Entry #1
Solis Occasus Villa Ortus ~ Owned by Solis Occasus Villa (Virginia) ~ DOB: 01-05-17 ~ DOLP: 04-04-17

Entry #4
Circle H Fainting Farm Pocahontas ~ Owned by Miss Bee Haven Acres (Hendersonville, NC) ~ DOB: 02-24-17 ~ DOLP: 05-20-17
Judge's comments: The 5th place goat has a nice top line, slope of rump and more balanced than the goats behind her. She is smoothly blended and well-muscled. I would like to see her standing straighter on her legs to move her forward.

Entry #6
Circle H Fainting Farm Sacajawea ~ Owned by Circle H Fainting Farm (Elizabethton, TN) ~ DOB: 02-24-17 ~ DOLP: 05-18-17
Judge's comments: My 6th place goat is standing on very parallel legs, with a nice top line and smoothly blended through the neck to the loin. I would like more length of body and more angulation to the rear legs to move her up in the class.

Entry #2
Solis Occasus Villa Manzanita ~ Owned by Solis Occasus Villa (Virginia) ~ DOB: 01-08-17 ~ DOLP: 04-04-17
Judge's comments: The flashy goat in 7th place has a nice top line, slope of rump and deep body.  However, she is not standing well for us today to be able to be able to determine how she is standing on her legs and feet to move her forward in the class.

Entry #9
Endora ~ Bewosca Farms (Lebanon, OR) ~ DOB: 02-14-17 ~ DOLP: 05-05-17
Judge's comments: My 8th place goat is also not cooperating today for us to be able to judge her width and how she is standing on her legs to move her up in her class. She has good muscle for her age.

Entry #5
Billy Jean ~ Bewosca Farms (Lebanon, OR) ~ DOB: 03-06-17 ~ DOLP: 05-20-17

Judge's comments: My 3rd place goat may not be as large as some of the goats behind her, but she is more balanced. Her width carries all the way from her neck to her rump and is wide for her size. She doesn’t have the maturity in bone thickness or muscle to be placed higher today.

Entry #7
Periwinkle ~ Mazy Acres Pygmy & Fainting Goats (Caldwell Idaho) ~ DOB: 02-13-17 ~ DOLP: 05-17-17

Entry #6

Judge's comments: My 6th place goat is a larger goat in the class, but not as wide and she lacks thickness in the neck and narrow in the front to balance her out over all to move her forward in the class. She has nice length in body, and carries a nice amount of muscle over the rump and stands straight on her hind legs.

She demonstrates a nice amount of muscle especially over the rump area, giving that meat goat look, while still looking feminine. She is standing straight on her legs and square on her feet.

She is not over conditioned yet showing a lot of muscle especially that muscle covering her rump and rear legs. Judge's comments: I am placing this doe in 3rd. Although she may be a smaller doe, she is smoothly blended and in proportion.  She stands wide for her size and has nice defined muscle. When I look at her I now she does not have a dairy look which is what we want in the meat goat.  She is standing very strong on her pasterns and correct on her legs and feet. She has a great myotonic head!

Entry #3

Judge's comments: My 4th place goat is has a nice deep long body. She has a level top line and thick bone. She lacks the width and muscle definition over her hips, rump and rear legs to place her above the goat ahead of her. Unfortunately, although very cute, I am unable to award points for the perfect demonstration of a goat sticking her tongue out at the judge!

Spin River Meadows Dover
Spin River Meadows
(Salem, OR)
Judge's comments: My Jr. Champion doe goes to my 1st place doe in the 3 to under 6 months class.  I feel this doe is the best example in my Jr. Doe line up of what a myotonic goat should look like. Looking past all over her flash, she is the most balanced doe offering heavy muscle already at her age, long body with a lot of width and capacity standing correct on her feet and legs. She is thick boned and has an elegant myotonic head. Judge's comments: My Jr. Reserve Champion doe goes to my 1st place doe in the Unfreshened 12 to under 24 months. I feel she is the next goat in the Jr. Doe classes the follows the example of my Jr. Champion. However our Jr. Champion doe is longer and showing more width and muscle for her again which placed her in front of our Jr. Reserve Champion doe.
