This was a Fainting Goat show where photos of your goats are judged by a professional Judge.
This was not a MGR or IFGA sanctioned event. All 100% myotonic goats could enter whether registered or not.

This was a great opportunity to enter your goats in a show without leaving the comforts of your home!

Entries Are Closed.

Judging: May 7-8, 2011
Results Posted on: May 10, 2011

Judge: Nancy Kreider (Washoe Valley, NV)

Meet the Judge - Nancy Kreider (Washoe Valley, NV)

My love of goats started in 1995 when I purchased my first 2 baby Pygmy goats.  About 1 ½ years later I decided to breed them and then I was hooked.  I ran into birthing problems with the pygmies so I decided to look for a breed of goat that kidded easier.  That’s when I found my true love, Tennessee Fainting Goats.  I got my first doe in 2000 and her babies were born in March 2001.  Within the next 7 years my herd increased and increased and increased to a manageable 35 does and bucks.  With those does and bucks, I was able to produce 90 to 100 quality babies and sold them throughout the United States and Canada.  Some of those 100 babies went on to be beautiful herd sires, awesome Moms, one became a Champion Junior Doe and several others have won show ribbons.  I am proud of them all.

I traveled to a show in Tennessee and “trained” under the foremost expert in our field, Phil Sponenberg.  He was gracious enough to show me how to judge the goats and what I was looking for. I also had the opportunity to receive more training by a meat goat judge and get some more pointers on the meat aspect of this amazing breed of goat. I have had the opportunity to judge 3 MGR shows and 3 MSFGA shows in Idaho, and the Oregon Virtual Fainting Goat Show last year.

The OFGS committee would like to thank Nancy for donating her time and expertise again this year to support this fundraising event. We hope that you will consider Nancy for your next MGR sanctioned event.

All exhibitors receive a link to their websites for the remainder of the year. What great advertising!

Photos are posted in the order in which they are received.

The Judge will not be viewing the photos prior to the judging date.

Awards through 5th place will include electronic ribbons/photos for your website

Entry fees from the virtual show will go towards helping to support the
Oregon Fainting Goat Show on July 2011
